Acupuncture
Completely safe and virtually pain-free, it is an effective way to address physical, psychological and emotional problems – everything from pain to insomnia, infertility to obesity has been treated by acupuncture. Acupuncture originated in China more than 5,000 years ago and, due to its proven effectiveness, has been embraced throughout the world as a treatment option for a range of health issues. Hair-thin, sterile needles are placed into the skin at various of points, with subtle variations in the direction, depth of insertion, and the way the needles are manipulated in the patient's body.
Osteopathy
Osteopathy is a natural form of medicine that uses gentle palpation to address the root causes of pain and imbalance, helping restore the body’s function. Osteopathic manual practitioners utilize a hands-on approach to assess, identify, and treat the body’s structures and rhythms.
These practitioners carefully and intentionally examine tissues or systems by touch. Using their fingertips and palms, they gather sensory information through touch receptors, as well as proprioceptors located in the joints of their hands, wrists, arms, and shoulders. This allows them to feel subtle changes in the body's tissues.
By detecting even the slightest modifications, osteopathic manual practitioners can tailor a treatment plan to the patient’s needs. They assess factors like congestion, dehydration, scarring, stiffness, density, loss of resilience, and motility, as well as evaluate position, mobility, and vitality to determine the areas that require immediate attention.
